By special request, the Halftone™ plug-in now has a "High density" option which allows it to be used for large size/high resolution images (We're talking poster-size 300 DPI here). As ever, previous settings are not disturbed by this additional option, but all graphic professionals working on such images should find the option of great value.

There's also been some talk about why Halftone doesn't support bitmap mode; the reason is simple; Halftone requires intensity information to determine the size of the dots, bitmap images only know black or white, which would create an incredibly useless Halftone effect, the issue is not settled yet though and we may be able to support in in a far future or if there's enough request for it.
