This small slider, located at the bottom of the window, allows you to try a different random setting. Slide it to the right or left to try a different setting.

Although the placement and style of the effects are quite random (as they cannot be predicted), OldMovie internally uses a mechanism that ensures the effects will appear exactly the same whenever the same random setting is used.

Since the random setting will also be saved in the memory spots when saving, the effect will appear exactly as before.

Another benefit of this system is that the preview will look almost identical to the final rendered image.

This even scales to different image sizes, allowing you to test settings on a small image to spare time, then apply it to a larger image when happy with the chosen settings.
